A café in a quiet corner in Ho Chi Minh City

Do you have any plans? How about going to Geisha café?” a good friend asked while we were hanging around town last weekend.

Geisha’s Coffee and Teahouse in Ho Chi Minh City

Geisha’s Coffee and Teahouse is located at 85 Pasteur Street in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1, on the corner of Le Thanh Ton Street. We had to go past a boutique on the ground floor and go up a small, dark staircase to the café on the first and second floors.
The first floor is divided into two areas and has a balcony overlooking shady Pasteur Street. There are Japanese-style tables on the floor.
There are paintings, including one of a Japanese woman holding a gun, and other decorations on the wall, crystal ceiling lights, and sofas with red flowers details.
We went upstairs. It is on the same level as the top of a large tree. There were doves cooing peacefully and perching without a care not far from our window.
Like the first floor the second floor too has a bookcase full of English books. The furniture and decorations are also similar. There are many windows and from there, past the first yellow flowers of the summer, we could see Bitexco, the city’s highest tower.
I ordered an orange juice (VND50,000) and my friend was very happy tofind mandarin rose tea (VND50,000) in the menu. There is a tea listwith ginger honey tea (VND50,000), apple cinnamon tea (VND50,000), greentea (VND40,000); a juice list (from VND45,000 to VND50,000) with apple, carrot, coconut, water melon; and others (from VND50,000 to VND60,000)such as avocado smoothie, mango smoothie, banana chocolate shake, vanilla milk shake, and strawberry yogurt shake.
