Vietnam Climate - Vietnam weather


Vietnam, situated in Southeast Asia, is blessedwith all kinds of climatic conditions, in various regions of the country. Climatic conditions in Vietnam tend to vary considerably fromplace to place due to the differences in latitude and longitude and  terrains from low lying coastal plains to 4000 meters high mountain peaks.

Vietnam climate general:

In general however Vietnam climate is a kind of tropical monsoon climate withaverage humidity of 84% throughout the year.
Vietnam falls in both tropical as well astemperate climatic zones, hence climate in Vietnam also variesaccordingly. While the north part of the country falls in the temperate climatezone, the Southern part has a tropical climate.
Vietnam climate however sometimes becomes unpredictable. Vietnam sometimes faces climatic turbulence,mostly in the coastal regions from July to November. These regions are likely tobe hit by typhoons, sometimes with devastating impact. There are also occasional floods and droughts in Vietnam threatening life and agriculture of Vietnam.
Vietnam climate in the northof the country is cool and dry from November to April and hot and rainy from May to October. Temperature here considerably varies between these two seasons witha difference of around 12 degrees centigrade. The northern part stretches fromHai Van Pass towards the north and enjoys all fourseasons during the year namely spring, summer, autumn, winter. The majorprovinces and municipalities falling in this part are Hanoi, Haiphong, and Quang Ninh.
The mountainous southern part of Vietnam enjoysfairly constant temperatures all round the year with unnoticeable difference intemperature averaging 3 degrees centigrade between seasons. South Vietnam hasdry season from November to April and wet season lasts from May to October or November. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam lies in this area and is an ideal for Vietnam tourist destination
In central Vietnam there is a variation ofclimate from coastal plains to central highlands. As the middle of the yeartends to be warmer and humid than the south, similarly the winter gets cooler during the dry season from November toMarch. Danang lies in the coastal area of this region.
Vietnam climatic conditions ingeneral include 100 days of rainfall, with an average rainfall of 1,500 to 2,000mm of rain and 1,500 to 2,000 sunny hours every year. Average temperature inVietnam is lower than the other countries located in the same longitude in Asia due to heavy rainfall in Vietnam. Moreover temperatures in both winter andsummer are also lower than the same in these countries located in the samelongitude as Vietnam tour package. The particularly equitable Vietnam climate makes Vietnam tourism an effective way of raising the economy of thecountry.
