Have you ever heard about a ‘Ha Long Bay on land? It is Thung Nai, a beautiful rural landscape in Cao Phong mountain district, Hoa Binh province, more than 100km North West of Hanoi.

With deers (or Nai in Vietnamese) making up the largest population in the wildlife, local poeple usually called the area Nai, and this piece of land has been given the name ever since.
Although deers do not live in the area today, Thung Nai captivates visitors for its fresh air and wild beauty in pristine condition. Looking far from the distance, hundreds of undulating islands of various sizes are bobbing gently up and down on the water of the Da River Reservoir, creating a Ha Long Bay on land.
Thung Nai is an ideal destination for tourists who want to relax and discover the scenic beauty and distinctive culture of the Muong ethnic people.
